As a charity we participate in the Gift Aid scheme and standard admission fees include a Gift Aid donation of £0.50 (£2 for family groups). Pendon Museum is a charity and if you're a UK taxpayer and make a Gift Aid donation that is 10% more than the standard entry fee the government will give us an extra 25% on top of your whole donation. Your extra money will go towards continuing the work of Pendon Museum – and a little more really means a lot. We will deduct the Gift Aid donation if requested.
Those paying Gift Aid receive a complimentary tea or coffee in our cafe.
Please note that we refund the admission fee of those visitors who become Friends of Pendon during their visit providing they sign a Standing Order at that time. Friends benefit from a 10% discount on purchases from our shop.
On Now: Exhibition "Trip"
For more than 120 years from 1848 the workers at GWR Swindon took a gratis railway journey each year with their families. The superb organisation of this undertaking ensured that even as many as 29,000 people got away in a few hours.
