Exhibition "The Wilts & Berks Canal" from September 18th to Dec 2010
The Wilts & Berks Canal Trust is aiming to restore a navigable waterway using much of the original route and is currently restoring various lengths of canal to water.
Pendon's Vale landscape includes a section of canal in typical 1930s derelict state including such features as Acorn Bridge, and an arch bridge. Future modelling plans include locks.
The exhibition will explain the canal's history and contribution to the character of the Vale.
