The Madder Valley Railway was created by artist and photographer John
Ahern. This charming and historically important model railway was
probably the first to establish the importance of scenery to complement
the trains.
It was donated to Pendon Museum and is normally on static display.
However, each year the trains and track are restored to running order
for a limited number of days.
Recently a small number of additional buildings were discovered and
these are now installed on the layout.
