    Openings for 2008


    The Museum is open Every Saturday and Sunday in 2008 (2pm - 5-30pm unless stated otherwise) until Sunday December 7th 2008

    Please note that on ALL days last admissions will be at 4.45pm - 45 minutes before closing time.

    Extended Openings

    Wednesdays 11am - 5.30pm for school holidays

    Feb 20th, Apr 9th & 16th, May 28th, July 30th, August 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th and October 29th

    Bank Holiday Weekend Openings 11am - 5.30pm

    Easter Good Friday to Easter Monday - March 21st to March 24th
    May 3rd to 5th,

    and August 23rd to 25th

    Additional early openings at 11am for special events

    May 10th &11th (11am - 5.30pm) Modellers Weekend - meet and talk to modelmakers.
    An opportunity to meet members of Pendon-s team of modellers and learn how the detailed models of buildings, scenery and rolling stock are created.

    Other Events in 2008


    April 5th to December 7th Exhibition "Building in the Vernacular"
    An exploration of local building techniques and materials with special emphasis on the buildings from the Vale of White Horse - an area where diverse materials such as brick, tiles, chalkstone, limestone and thatch are found.

    Modellers at work. On the first Sunday of most months a small team of modellers can be seen working on the Vale landscape during open hours.
